More Seed Money projects approved to implement the EUSBSR

EUR 1.5 million EU funding were allocated to implementing the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region during an online meeting of the Monitoring Committee of Interreg Baltic Sea Region on 17 June 2020.

The Monitoring Committee approved 37 proposals for Seed money projects. Seed money is funding provided by Interreg Baltic Sea Region to support the preparation of projects in line with the Action Plan of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR). With Seed money support, projects can be prepared for any funding source available in the region. 

Interreg Baltic Sea Region is one of the different national and EU funding Programmes which funds the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. Since 2014, Interreg Baltic Sea Region has provided significant funding to help implement the EUSBSR.  EUR 189.1 million were allocated to more than 60 flagships, i.e. comprehensive projects which implement the strategy, and EUR 1.3 million for 25 Seed Money projects which prepared project applications from 2017 to 2018.
