Six Interreg projects highlighted
The report “Towards the implementation of the Sustainable Blue Growth Agenda for the Baltic Sea Region” presents the results of a systematic stakeholder dialogue in the region, the aim of which was to identify and analyse the processes necessary to realise the Sustainable Blue Growth Agenda for the Baltic Sea Region, adopted in 2014. The dialogue focused on the themes, such as shipping, blue economy, coastal and maritime tourism as well as environmental and monitoring technology.
As many as six Interreg Baltic Sea Region’s projects were indicated in the report as supportive for the blue growth. EnviSum and Go LNG were mentioned as the projects contributing to green solutions in shipping. Baltic Blue Biotechnology Alliance and Baltic Blue Growth were having a share in the blue bioeconomy. Baltic LINes and Smart Blue Regions were mentioned in the context of the environmental and monitoring technology theme.
