Good ideas to develop Baltic Sea region: summaries of projects

From advancing the earth observation market, improving safe ship navigation and promoting electric vehicles, through working towards cleaner Baltic Sea waters and exploiting bioenergy and renewable energies, ending up with developing destinations for coastal fishing, supporting game start-ups and sharing information on delays of ferry trips: the range of challenges set by the projects approved by Interreg Baltic Sea Region in the second call is immense! As many as 39 new projects were selected in May 2017 by the Monitoring Committee for funding in the framework of Interreg Baltic Sea Region 2014-2020. All the projects fit into the three Programme thematic priorities with 18 projects dealing with innovation, 12 with the management of natural resources and 9 with sustainable transport. Currently, contracting of the approved projects is ongoing. Once accomplished, the projects will start their activities.
