The second call for the Interreg Baltic Sea Region seed money opens today. Seed Money is funding provided by Interreg Baltic Sea Region to support the preparation of projects in line with the Action Plan of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. Interested applicants are welcome to submit their draft applications until 9 December 2019.
The framework and thematic focus for the new Programme are currently under development. In order to facilitate the process, the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat of Interreg Baltic Sea Region has involved current project partners to hear about their ideas on procedures, tools, and means of support the future Programme could offer. The survey results constitute a valuable contribution in the Programme development process.
Interreg is all about the regional development of municipalities and cities. Every tenth project partner in projects funded by Interreg Baltic Sea Region is a local public authority, i.e. an institution involved in governing a municipality or city. But why exactly do they participate in cooperation projects?
Along with the two-third of Interreg Baltic Sea Region projects still ongoing, the preparations for the future programme 2021-2027 are already taking shape.
