Back to back with the Smart Regions 2.0 Conference "Maximising Europe's innovation potential" (1-2 June, Helsinki, Finland):
The event will bring together representatives of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, the Smart Specialisation Platform of the European Commission as well as Interreg programmes and projects. The workshop will focus on the topic of innovation and discuss the added value of building up cooperation platforms for projects and most important stakeholders in this field. Smart specialisation has been selected as the overarching approach to frame project cooperation.
The workshop will be moderated by Interreg Baltic Sea Region Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat. The IBSR MA/JS will explain the concept of the project platforms and present its offer. Then, the invited delegates will discuss, among others, the most important issues of common interest and concern as well as potential outcome and impact of a project platform in the region.
This discussion will feed into the terms of reference for a call on project platforms to be co-financed by Interreg Baltic Sea Region that will be announced later this year. The project platforms will include projects from Interreg Baltic Sea Region and other funding Programmes in the area.
