The Joint Programming Committee (JPC) is a decision-making body for programming the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme 2021-2027, and it is a supervising body for the overall progress of programming. Each EU country in the Programme area (Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden), as well as Belarus, Norway and Russia, can send up to three delegates for the JPC meetings. Representatives of the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat as well as of the European Commission participate in the meetings as advisors. The Task Force meeting is a working meeting that enables to prepare proposals and decisions for the main Joint Programming Committee meetings.

The Joint Programming Committee Task Force meetings in September cover among other things:
- outcome of public consultation as well as consultation with PACs and project platforms
- intervention logic and indicators
- simplified cost options/eligibility rules
- future management, audit and control system
- future support to EUSBSR governance
