The 15th edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities is held under the title 'Regions and cities working for a better future’, and it tackles three main themes: building resilient regions and cities; regions and cities as change agents; and sharing knowledge to deliver results. 28 partnerships of regions and cities, 14 Directorates-General of the European Commission, several networks, associations and other institutions have partnered up for it. The opening session takes place on 9 October in the European Parliament.
The registration is open to sign up for as many as 130 workshops, networking events and project visits organised in Brussels as part the event. The registration closes on 29 September.
RegioStars Awards: vote now!
On 10 October, the RegioStars Awards Ceremony takes place as part of the European Week of Regions and Cities. One of the Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013 projects, Science Link, is a finalist in the category: Smart Specialisation for SME innovation. Until 9 October, you can vote for the project here. The project with the highest amount of votes will receive the Public Choice Award of the RegioStars during the award ceremony.
