The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
Interreg Baltic Sea Region is contributing to the workshop The future of transnational cooperation: what impact in a changing Europe? (Thursday, 10 October, 9:15-10:45) together with other transnational Interreg Programmes and will have a joint Interreg stand as well. Three speakers from Interreg BSR projects contribute: Beata Fabisiak explains how BaltSe@nior has helped entrepreneurs to raise the comfort of life of seniors with smart new products. Jonas Westerberg, who managed DiveSmart Baltic in which rescue divers from several Baltic Sea countries have established cooperation to save more lifes together (). And Else Timms (ResQU2) highlights a new type of project, a project platform, in which several land and sea based rescue services covering different types of accidents come together to enforce change in everyday practice around the Baltic Sea region countries.
