The Joint Programming Committee (JPC) is a decision-making body for programming the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme 2021-2027, and it is a supervising body for the overall progress of programming. Each EU country in the Programme area, as well as Belarus, Norway and Russia, send delegates for the JPC meetings. Representatives of the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat as well as of the European Commission participate in the meetings as advisors.

 In 2021, the Joint Programming Committee is chaired by Lithuania. The 5nd JPC meeting on 24-25 March 2021 will in particular cover:

  • update on the development of the legislative package
  • finalisation of agreed chapters of the Programme document, and preparation for next steps
  • follow-up on the workshop on mobilising public authorities as project partners
  • preliminary budget calculations of new Programme’s technical assistance
  • discussion on the management verifications and liability
  • decision on the calls for applications
