The Joint Programming Committee (JPC) is the decision making body for programming Interreg Baltic Sea Region 2021-2027 and is supervising the overall progress of programming. On 5-6 February 2020 the JPC has its first meeting in Riga under Latvian chairmanship.
Each EU country in the Programme area, Norway and Russia as well as Belarus sends up to three delegates each as done for the Monitoring Committee. Representatives of the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat as well as of the European Commission participate in the JPC as advisors.
During this 1st JPC meeting, among others, the following topics are on the agenda:
• Set-up of the JPC and adoption of rules of procedure
• Policy objectives for the next funding period
• Future project types
• Timeline and next steps of the programming process
Participation is open to JPC members and their deputies.
