The Monitoring Committee (MC) is the decision making bodies for current Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme, the Joint Programming Committee (JPC) the decision making body for programming Interreg Baltic Sea Region 2021-2027.

Each EU country in the Programme area, Norway and Russia as well as Belarus sends up to three delegates each to the MC/JPC. Representatives of the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat as well as of the European Commission participate in the MC/JPC as advisors.

Back-to-back to the Annual Forum for the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region the MC/JPC meets in Turku to take final funding decisions for the current programme and to decide on next steps towards the future programme.

Participation is open to MC members and their deputies.
