The Monitoring Committee is the Programme’s decision making body. The Monitoring Committee meets two to three times per year.
Each EU country in the Programme area, Norway and Russia as well as Belarus sends up to three delegates each to the Monitoring Committee. Representatives of the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat as well as of the European Commission participate in the Monitoring Committee as advisors.
In 2019, the Monitoring Committee is chaired by Germany. During this 11th meeting, recent topics of the Programme implementation and first steps of the Programme’s future development post 2020 are on the agenda. In addition to this the opening of three calls for projects is decided upon as well as on who hosts the 2020 Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region.
Participation is open to members of the Monitoring Committee and their deputies.
