The Monitoring Committee is the Programme’s decision making body. The Monitoring Committee meets two to three times per year.

Each EU country in the Programme area, Norway and Russia as well as Belarus sends up to three delegates each to the Monitoring Committee. Representatives of the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat as well as of the European Commission participate in the Monitoring Committee as advisors.

In 2019, the Monitoring Committee is chaired by Germany. During this tenth meeting, recent topics of the Programme implementation and first ideas of the Programme’s future post 2020 will be discussed. In addition to this, new projects from the second platform call and from the first extension stage call for applications are to be selected for funding.
