Guidance to Interreg Baltic Sea Region projects affected by the COVID-19 pandemic
In relation to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat (MA/JS) of Interreg Baltic Sea Region considers it a joint responsibility to minimise the spreading of the corona virus, and encourages all project partners to take necessary measures to stay healthy.
The MA/JS has taken several steps to assist project partners in successful implementation of their projects, and delivery of desirable results. In particular:
• Ongoing projects had a possibility to apply for up to 6 months of extension of the project implementation time;
• E-signatures were enabled for partner reports (signed by the given project partnersd and their controllers) and first level control reports and checklists (signed by the controllers);
• The MA/JS encouraged reviews of the work plans and assisted in necessary adjustments to ensure the successful implementation of their projects
• The MA/JS and first level controllers ensured a flexible cancellation policy for physical events planned in advance.
