28 Jun 2017

Blue growth is about exploiting the potential for developing the maritime economy in the Baltic Sea region. The contributions of as many as six Interreg Baltic Sea Region’s projects have been recognised as valuable for that development, as states a recent report issued by the European Commission on the ongoing dialogue about the implementation of the Sustainable Blue Growth Agenda for the Baltic Sea Region.

Six Interreg projects highlighted

The report Towards the implementation of the Sustainable Blue Growth Agenda for the Baltic Sea Region” presents the results of a systematic stakeholder dialogue in the region, the aim of which was to identify and analyse the processes necessary to realise the Sustainable Blue Growth Agenda for the Baltic Sea Region, adopted in 2014. The dialogue focused on the themes, such as shipping, blue economy, coastal and maritime tourism as well as environmental and monitoring technology.
