In 2018, the Monitoring Committee is chaired by Estonia. During this 9th meeting, recent topics of the Programme implementation and first results of the Programme’s mid-term evaluation are discussed and new projects from the 3rd call for applications are selected for funding.

The Monitoring Committee is the Programme’s decision making body. The Monitoring Committee meets two to three times per year. Each EU country in the Programme area and Norway as well as Russia and Belarus sends up to three delegates each to the Monitoring Committee. The Belarusian delegation has an observer status until a Financing Agreement, as pre-requisite for full participation in the Programme, is signed. Representatives of the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat as well as of the European Commission participate in the Monitoring Committee as advisors.
