At its 5th Meeting, the Monitoring Committee of Interreg Baltic Sea Region will select project concept notes submitted in June 2016. Selected concept notes can be developed into full-fledges applications.

The Monitoring Committee is the decision making body of Interreg Programmes. It discusses and approves all Programme documents and selects projects for funding.

Each EU country in the Programme area and Norway as well as Russia and Belarus sends up to three delegates each to the MC. The Russian and Belarusian delegations will have an observer status until the Financing Agreements, as pre-requisites for full participation in the Programme, have been signed.

Representatives of the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat as well as the European Commission participate in the Monitoring Committee as advisors. The Monitoring Committee meets two to three times per year.
